Our new addition is almost finished! Some changes you might notice include:
NEW PHONE SYSTEM
We grew out of our current phone system. Our new system will have some positive changes when you call us. The first ten seconds will be a message that will direct you to four areas. If you have an emergency press zero. A special ring tone will go to all of our phones in the hospital and your call should be picked up instantly.
You can request a pharmacy refill by pushing another number in the initial message. We will check this message board hourly during our office hours and also it will be checked the first thing each morning to get your pet's medical needs filled as quickly as possible. We'll call you back to confirm the products are available and ready for you.
Another number chosen by you will allow you to request a boarding reservation. If this is chosen we will get back to you quickly to make sure space is available in our limited bed and breakfast facility.
The last choice is to talk to Debbie, Stephanie, Janet, Megan, Janelle, Susan, Sara or Nadja to ask for information, leave a voice message for a particular doctor to return your call, make an appointment or just talk. The time from the first ring tone to reach these individuals who you know well is about ten seconds.
If this system doesn't work for you, please let me know so we can tweak it to your satisfaction. We will miss the old phone system we've used for 15 years but the size and spacing of the new addition prohibits its use. Our greatest desire is to make the new phone system work for your convenience.
After hours, the same phone system will speed responses also. If you call when the office is closed, the system will respond to your response in an emergency by you pushing one number and it will ring The Hope Center for Advanced Animal Health Care in Vienna directly. Currently you have to dial a second number. Now it will dial the emergency care center directly for you.
After hours, the pharmacy refill service and the boarding request service will also be available. We'll check both areas each morning when we arrive at the hospital. We'll contact you concerning either request at the phone number or email address you leave for us to confirm either request.
You will be able to leave a message for the staff to retrieve the next working day. You will also be given directions to contact a doctor after hours to ask a question about your pet.
DIVIDED SEATING AREAS
We will have two seating areas when you arrive. The areas will not be labeled strictly for cats or dogs. Please seat where you feel the most comfortable either close to or away from another pet. We'll find you quickly to start the examination process.
NEW EXAMINATION ROOMS
The staff might direct you to one of three new examination rooms. These should help us to serve you more quickly and save you some time while your pet is with us.
TOURS ARE AVAILABLE AND WELCOME
Megan has asked to be in charge of our team to show you through our new facility. She and anyone else have lived with this process for a year now and they want to show off their new surroundings. Please ask and all of our staff will proudly show off the new addition and its features to make your pet's stay healthier for them.
THANK YOU
I'd like to thank each and every one of you and your pets for staying positive with us during this protracted building process. It has pushed our buttons frequently but we can see the finish soon. If there is anything that you would like to see us add to the finished facility, tell us and I'll try to add it to the mix.
We welcome your comments and concerns because, in the end, we share a common goal: Happy and contented pets that are members of your family for a very long time.
