Dr. Monahan has been practicing in the Northern Virginia since 2001.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her D.V.M. from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.  She has an interest both Eastern and Western medicine and often incorporates acupuncture into her patient care.   She lives in Fairfax with her husband Trey, their Great Danes (Stella and Lucy), their cat (Ivan) and their guinea pig (Linus).
