An emergency exists when you feel a situation needs care now or when you need information about a situation to make a decision if it is an emergency or not.
We are blessed in this area of Northern Virginia to be served by some of the best emergency veterinary clinics in the world. After business hours, our doctors carry a beeper at all times to keep in touch with you. We offer information and first aid care over the phone at all times. Our beeper system is set up for voice mail only so that we can call you back at the phone number you leave us. It is reached by calling our regular hospital number 703-830-1182 after hours. It also gives you the emergency clinic's phone number closest to us and the best equipped after hours clinic just a few miles away from us. It is called The Hope Center and it is also listed in all the local phone books for our area.
Emergency preparedness for your pet is a must do procedure. Just recall the photos we all saw after Hurricane Katrina in August 2005. You can help your entire family by helping prepare for your pet's needs if an emergency occurs to you or occurs locally. Our past newsletters have more detailed information or call us for our help.
